Gimme a break.

"IM COMING HOME I'M COMING HOME TELL THE WORLD I'M COMING HOME"

Well..you guessed it people...I am heading back to the 401 in less than 24 hours, and I could not be more ecstatic. Little Rhody may be the smallest state, but it has my heart. What can I say, you just gotta love it.

I cant wait to see my friends, eat real food, chill with my dog even though sometimes he doesn't love me (will pretend he likes me for this blogs sake) not wear shower shoes, sing at the top of my lungs without getting yelled at by an RA and last but not least the most important one of all SEE MY FAMILY.

I honestly never thought I would miss my family so much but man oh man do I.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it's about family and only family. At the end of the day friends come and go, but family lasts forever. Am I right? Yes, yes I am.

This break is much needed. So much has been happening here I need a getaway, such perfect timing.

I hope you all have a fantastic break and truly spend some quality times with all those who mean the most to you!

Love y'all
Don't forget your smile:)

"Tomorrows A New Day"

WHY.WHY.WHY.WHY

I dont understand.

I'm sitting here at 1:13 contemplating why I even try anymore. I know that sounds super deep, but do you ever just put all your effort into something, care about someone so much and then get let down?

I think every girl has experienced it and let me tell ya ..IT SUCKS.

BOYS GET IT TOGETHER. AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR DIS.

I usually don't rant about this sort of stuff, but sometimes enough is just enough.

But when will I be enough?

I don't think I even want/can do this much longer because what else do I have to give when I put myself out there and get nothing in return. It's like I'm waiting for change, but I even know...nothing will change.

I guess us girls try to convince ourselves that "things get better with time" and who is to say this isn't true. But I defiantly think we give more than we get...if that makes any sense?

I've learned many things over the past couple months and the biggest thing I've learned is you can't change yourself to make others happy. Always stay true to who you are no matter how tough it is.

This is just a bump in the rode, we all go through it...I just wish I had stopped it before it got out of control.

Whatcha gonna do though, right?

Like my mom always says "tomorrow's a new day."
Can't let little things tear you down.

Sleep tight everyone.
Don't forget your smile:)

Semester Stirrup.

You don't truly know the meaning of "stressed out" until registering for college classes. Each semester in college you register for a whole new set of classes. Sounds fun right? NO. YOU ARE WRONG. WRONG WRONG WRONG.
It may actually be one of the most hated days of the year.
You may be saying "ali stop being such a drama queen it can be that bad" Alright, alright, you got me there it's not all that bad....but it's certainly  not a walk in the park either. Let me give you the play by play of my morning.

1. Going to bed at 2:30
2. Waking up at 6:50
3. Falling asleep
4. Waking up in pure shock thinking I had missed my time to register
5. Logging onto the portal to register
6. Almost throwing my computer at the wall because everyone and their mother was using the campuses wifi at the same time.
7. Crying
8. Still crying
9. Finally registering *PRAISE THE GOOD LORD*
10. Seeing everyone/hearing everyones issues with registering

It was just super duper fun to say the least. Honestly, I was there was an eaiser way to do all this. Maybe by the time I graduate they will come up with a new system Maybe? eh? probably not.
Hope everyone else is having a dandy day.
DONT FORGET YOUR SMILE.

NEW.YORK.CITY.

NEWWWWWYAWWWWK.

This weekend was a successful weekend to say the least. Where did I go? Well, if you could not read the title I WENT TO NYC. I went there to see my wonderful brother who I haven't seen since August 31st so you could say I was just a tad excited. My brother is one of my best friends so not being able to see him for a long period of time was basically torture.

His basketball team was playing at NYU so we got to watch his team beast on the court.

GO BUB! Number 12 on the court Number 1 in our hearts.

But I even got an elephant hat! You guys have no idea how exciting that moment was. I was thrilled.

And we also stayed right above ground zero. Very cool and eye opening at the same time.

Overall really fun weekend. EVEN THOUGH I WAS FREEZING, wouldn't have change it for the world. Love my family more than anything. I'm one lucky gal.

Check out the short video I made of the trip too!!

AND CHECK OUT MY YOUTUBE FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT.

Hope you all had a splendid Monday (ha like that's possible.)
GOODNIGHT Y'ALL
and...Don't forget your smile:)

Weirder Than Most. The Explanation.

"Ali you're so weird"

I probably hear this at least 5 times a day. It's true. I am weird. But I find nothing wrong with it.
Let's put it this way,
If I was a shy one with nothing to say, didn't use my hands like a crazy Italian, didn't have big poofy hair that I constantly fix in a certain way, never put a bun on top of my head and then a hood over it, never laughed, actually decided to stick to a diet plan, never laughed at anything...I WOULDN'T BE ME.

All the odd/strange stuff I do makes me, me.

Whenever people used to call me werird I think to myself "what's wrong with me"
Now when people tell me, i'm like "yes you are correct, I fucking rock."

I think being who you are is the most important thing in life.

I could go on and on about this...but you all got the jist, right?

So that's pretty much why I made my url "weirderthanmost" because it was 100% true and I couldn't be happier about it.

THE.END.

#ThrowbackThursday

It's 2013 but today I'm reliving the glory days of 1995.

For some odd reason I've been thinking a lot about my childhood today. I know that sounds highly strange..but hey, thats me for ya.

Remember when we didn't have a worry in the world? We could do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted. We could stick our faces in our applesauce and didn't care about the mess we made. We colored outside the lines, but it was alright because everything we drew was "oh so pretty". We could use our easy bake ovens to make the most disgusting cakes, but got told it was "delicious". Lets be real we all thought we were bound to be chefs one day. We tried at least ever sport and dance class imaginable and in the end got a cute little trophy or certificate saying how amazing we were. We got to dress up in cute little outfits and strut our stuff without being judge. We had play dates with our friends using barbie dolls and funny little toys. We danced and sang like complete fools, but didn't even care because we were just being ourselves.
Remember that? I do.
And I can't help but miss it. It was a time of simplicity. Back then I never thought of the "big things in life" I just focused on the "little things." But that's what made me so happy.

We become so caught up in our daily lives we sometimes forget what makes us happy.
When I was a kid anything could make me happy, so why is it so hard to find that happiness, today?

To be honest, I wish I could go back in time and relieve my childhood. Being an adult isn't all that great. Sure it has it's perks, but it comes with the price of having to being stripped away of the "simple times."

I'm getting way to sad over here, hopefully no one else is!
Have a great rest of your week and HEY
Don't forget your smile:) xoxo
