(Late night thoughts= deep blog post. Oh snap)
I think most people nowadays are looking for something to fill voids within them. Something inside us is simply lacking and we constantly crave the desire to fill whatever this "thing" inside us is. Where do we go? What do we turn to? Who do we turn to? For me, I'm constantly searching, constantly trying to understand what it is that I'm looking for. I always seem to think I'm on the right track, but then I seem to find myself back at square one time and time again. I'm currently in New York visiting my brother and got to watch his basketball game. After the game my family and I were in the car and suddenly my brother became very down on himself. He said he was at a point with basketball where he didn't know how much more he could take of his quote on quote "mistakes." I never knew how much he was struggling with this because he always puts on this front and acts like everything is okay. To me, he's doing great with basketball, he's always putting in the extra time and literally draining himself to the point of complete exhaustion just to "get better." When I looked over at him and saw the pain in his eyes, right there my heart just broke. My brother over the years has become my best friend. Whether he knows it or not he's one of my biggest role models. When I see him succeed I want to make myself better. When I see him conquer what I think is the "impossible" I can't help but smile. And when I see him lacking that spirit and drive he always portrays, I can't help but get a little down too. My dad, being the "picker uper he is" chimed in with "Nick you don't even know how much of an inspiration you are, you gotta keep going, don't give up." It's true, I don't think he even comprehends how much he inspires others and that's something I admire about him. He truly inspires me, every single day. And it hit me, I don't need one certain thing to fill this so call void, it's just about finding that inspiration in your life and motivating yourself and others around you to make your dreams into reality, to find that happiness I guess you could call it. Maybe I'm just pulling an Oprah moment over here, but to me this all somehow makes sense. Inspiration is all around us, but it's up to us to open our eyes and truly see what we can become. Although, we all may feel empty sometimes, lack that self-confidence, or think we're not worth it, if you choose to dig deep enough and look for that inspiration around you, you'll see you're not really lost, you're just on your way to finding who/what you're truly worth. I got out of the car and held in my tears, but as soon as I hugged him I became a human waterfall. I didn't wanna let him go. Since we're both away at college now, the times I see him are limited so saying goodbye to him every time is hard, but tonight was especially difficult. It was one of those brother/sisterly moments I can't explain, but it was nice how he didn't really wanna let me go either. There was a time in my life where I honestly thought we would never be close or ever be able to bond, but these past 5 or so years have been eye openers and he's been there every step of the way with that wacky smile and some hard core advice that makes you think until you're brain hurts. I'm not sure if he knows what he's done for me, but besides being a great brother hes a true inspiration and a friend, a best friend that anyone would be lucky to have. What else could I ask for? Not much. Thank you Nick. I love you.

MY NOVEMBER FAVORITES :)
IT IS OFFICIALLY FRIDAY. cause it's 12:24...bare with me.
So how could I not be in a good mood?
And since I am in this fantastic mood I decided to recap on some of my november favorites.
Let us start
1) ARIANA GRANDE
She is simply killing it. I of course jammed hard to "The Way", but I also started to listening to more of her songs and was blown away by her voice. She is a mix between 1920's and 2005 and I am loving every minute of it. ROCK IT GURL. and oh, everyone makes fun of her hair style and the way she talks, but the hair style is super cute like how can you look at that wonderful hair and not smile? And she talks in a little high voice to make sure she doesn't damage her vocal chords so everyone hatin on my girl ari, GTFO. thank you:)
I've actually been trying to eat healthy at college and every day in the dining hall that pizza stares me in the face and I walk away from it with tears in my eyes, but I know its for the best that I choose the salad bar life. Although, salads at my school do not quite look like this...if only. But just adding a little healthy salad to your meal plan is always a good idea. Add some chicken, corn, vegies, make it fun and colorful. yay for eating healthy. you'll thank yourself when you are rocking that bikini this up coming summer it is worth it.
3) CLEAN AND CLEAR FACE WASH.
Alright so my skin has never been perfect and it will never be perfect, but I recently started using this cleanser and I am seeing some results! I have dry skin so if you're skin is anything like mine I truly recommend this. And it smells so good. truly a burst of freshness in the morning (just like the commercial said. WOW THEY DIDN'T LIE TO ME. how kind.)
4) AWKWARD.
This is one of my favorite shows. I was not to pleased when Jenna began to change who she was for a guy, I may or may not be guilty of screaming at my T.V but its okay...I just want what's best for my girl Jenna. I think my favorite character on the show is Valerie, the school's guidance counselor. She just makes me laugh and laugh, her character is so ditsy, but yet she takes everything so seriously which is the best part. Dream job, getting to be on one of their episodes. My life would be made.
4) MY BED.
In college all I do is sleep. And if I'm not sleeping, I'm day dreaming and counting down the minutes of when I will be sleeping again. We have a serious relationship, clearly. I am pretty much obsessed with my bed at school so obviousl it had to be in my favorites.
5) SAY SOMETHING.
My all time jam in Novemebr was "Say Something", by Great Big World , Ft. Christina Aguilera.
May I just say, Christina is looking HAWWWWTTT. I need her trainer, asap. Good for your girl! This song though was so deep and when I first heard it I wanted to cry. I love slow, deep songs, espeically if I'm going through something. I would just turn it on and drown out the world. It's one of those songs no matter how many times you play it, it sounds like you've just heard it for the first time.
6) LETS WORKOUT
I have been trying to get my workout on and I've been using some good AB workouts. This is one of them and it really works. Also 8 minute youtube ab videos are a big help. DON'T FORGET YA SQUATS LADIES. If you wanna a kim k bootay, get those squats in.
Those are all my favorites (that i can think of anyways) Hope you're November was dandy and your December is going even better. wow the christmas season is finally upon us and I couldn't be happier. WOOT WOOT.
Well, it seems like its a good time to hit the hay.
Talk to you all LATER.
Goodnight, don't forget your smile
:)
Ali, xoxo
